. Overview. About Alina Nowicki
Alina Nowicki, an associate with Meland Budwick, P.A., focuses her practice on business litigation and trade secrets litigation. She handles a broad range of business disputes, including breaches of contract, deceptive and unfair trade practices, and disputes adjacent to bankruptcy proceedings from inception through settlement or trial.
Prior to joining the firm, she worked as an associate with the Business Litigation Practice Group at Shutts & Bowen. Before that, she served as a judicial intern for The Honorable Robert N. Scola, Jr., U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of Florida.
Prior to law school, she worked at the American Civil Liberties Union National Headquarters in New York City in the Racial Justice Program, where she gained litigation experience. She also completed internships for the Eleventh Judicial Circuit of Florida, the Miami-Dade County State Attorney’s Office, the Department of Homeland Security at the Port of Miami, and the office of Congresswoman Ileana Ros-Lehtinen.
Her professional and civic work includes serving as a member of the Junior League of Miami on the Donor Relations and Women Who Make a Difference Gala committees, Cuban American Bar Association, Florida Association of Women Lawyers, the Carrollton Alumni Lawyers Association and the Cafecito Network, an organization of Hispanic and Latina lawyers and law students.
