About Marianne C. Callaos
Marianne C. Callaos, an associate at Meland Budwick, P.A., focuses her practice on real estate, corporate, and transactional matters. Marianne advises clients across a wide spectrum of property and business matters. With a practice grounded in both transactional and developmental real estate work, she represents buyers, sellers, borrowers, developers, and private lenders in the financing, acquisition, and sale of commercial and residential properties. This includes drafting, reviewing, and negotiating complex real estate documents, including purchase/sale contracts, loan documents, and closing documents involving construction loans, joint ventures, and real estate developments, as well as examining and navigating through properties’ title and lien search issues.
In addition to transactional real estate, Marianne works closely with developers in the creation of condominiums and homeowners’ associations (HOAs), providing comprehensive legal guidance from formation through governance and compliance.
Prior to joining the firm, Marianne worked at Fleitas, PLLC, where she represented purchasers, sellers, and lenders in commercial real estate transactions. Her work included drafting commercial leases and commercial and residential purchase and sale agreements in Spanish.
Marianne also worked at Markowicz International Law and Arista Law, and served as a judicial intern for the Honorable Marcia G. Cooke. In her native Venezuela, Marianne was a corporate law clerk at Travieso Evans Arria Rengel & Paz, where she helped foreign corporations to invest and do business in the country. She also worked as a clerk for the legal department for the Sucre Municipality, in the PROMUJER program, supporting low-income women, including survivors of abuse, in accessing legal remedies.
