Meland Budwick is pleased to announce that bankruptcy attorney and commercial litigator James “Jim” Moon has been appointed Chair of the Artificial Intelligence Task Force for the Business Law Section of The Florida Bar.

Jim has a national practice representing high-profile entertainers, recording artists, high-net-worth individuals, and sophisticated corporate clients. He handles complex Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy matters, creditors’ rights disputes, and civil litigation in state and federal courts, with a client roster that has included internationally known artists such as Cardi B and Mary J. Blige.

The Artificial Intelligence Task Force works to position the Business Law Section as Florida’s leading resource on AI’s impact on the evolving legal, business, and societal implications of AI through education, collaboration, and the development of practical resources. Under Jim’s leadership, the Task Force will monitor legislative, regulatory, and judicial developments involving artificial intelligence, develop practical resources for lawyers to understand and responsibly use AI, coordinate educational programming, and build relationships with courts, universities, and industry stakeholders.
