Daniel N. Gonzalez, Mark Meland and Bella Sandman represented Integra Investments in its $20.5 million acquisition of Heron Pond

Meland Budwick bankruptcy partners Daniel N. Gonzalez and Mark Meland, along with associate Bella Sandman, represented Integra Investments in its $20.5 million acquisition of the vacated Heron Pond condominium complex through a court-appointed receivership. Led by Daniel N. Gonzalez, the deal closed on July 23 and includes the 25-acre property at 8400 S.W. First Street in Pembroke Pines, with 304 units across 19 buildings.

The closing follows the Eleventh Circuit’s March ruling affirming the sale after a competing unit owner challenged the bidding process. 

“This was an unusually complex transaction that required Integra to navigate the receivership process, the termination of the condominium association, and a challenge to the court-approved sale,” Gonzalez said. “Reaching the closing gives Integra the opportunity to move forward with the redevelopment of a significant infill property in Broward County, and is a prime example of Meland Budwick’s different practice areas working together to achieve a successful outcome for its client.”
